Anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t travel light and I love a shopping bag for life! So you can imagine that when I was packing up the car to head upto Richmond for a few days of clients, classes, networking and venue viewings ……the car was bursting at the seams! I am literally like Mary Poppins…I even had a lamp in one of my huge black bags!
It was such a great few days and my first stop was to catch up with some clients. I am now working out of the beautiful OHM (Occupational Health Matters) in Richmond town centre. This is an amazing organisation who offer a range of occupational screening and interventions to aid Health and Wellbeing. Marie Church and her wonderful staff are so helpful and create such a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Next I popped into Catterick leisure centre to surprise the fab group a friends ‘The pink ladies’ and deliver a private Yoga class for them. This group really are great fun and are enjoying their yoga journey by teaching each other from picture cards. I love their enthusiasm and commitment without an instructor. Lynn is doing a great job taking the lead and teaching the girls. I’m looking forward to seeing them again soon.
I also ran a pop up Strength Yoga class at Catterick Leisure centre. I really do love this class. It was so great to see some old and new faces in class, everyone worked so hard and as always there were lots of planks, warrior pulses and horse lips to help us along the way. The group gave me a helping hand to my car afterwards (a special shout out to Claire for taking one for the team and carrying the lamp for us 😊). I will have more pop up class dates to post very soon so keep an eye out.
The main chunk of my time was spent driving through the Dales networking and viewing potential venues to run workshops and retreats from. This was so much fun! The Yorkshire dales national park is so beautiful, the venues were stunning and the owners were really excited to hear about Yorkshire Yogi. I even got the chance to meet two little lambs at one of the sweetest venues.
I am working hard behind the scenes to create a calendar of events for you all over the remaining months of 2017 and I can’t wait to create the spaces for you to come, enjoy Yoga, meet some likeminded people, eat some great food and have some fun. The workshops and retreats will range from half and full days to one and two night retreats.
The locations and venues will all be different and take you on an adventure through the Dales. They are cosy, cute, inspiring and show off our beautiful county. If you know of a venue that would be great to use please let me know…this yogi loves a road trip!
So beauties, sit tight and once the calendar is live get yourself booked on.
Lots and Love and Yorkshire Puddings
