This is a line from the film my big fat Greek wedding (I love this film…if you haven’t seen it please do…it’s so funny, and a great feel good film…I’m a sucker for those!).

I don’t know why but the last time I watched it (I’ve seen it soo many times), this line really stood out to me. I paused the film, played it back and wrote it down. As I wrote it down, I realised that I wanted to help people who feel this way to change and make their dreams come true.

Follow your dreams, dream big, the sky is the limit, aim for the moon…if you miss, you are still amongst the stars. There are so many fabulous inspirational quotes out there which I used to look and think ‘yeah sure…it won’t happen for me though’ and ‘it’s not that easy’.

And I was right…it’s not easy. But that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible. Anything is possible.

Have you ever done this? Have you thought about your dream life, job, house, partner, holiday and thought it wasn’t achievable? And because you think it over and over again you believe yourself and think it’s a fact and that its set in stone. You feel stuck. Trapped. Hopeless.

Well, let me tell you, whatever you think and believe…you are right.

And I can really say that and mean it because this was me. Trust me, I used to dream about being happy, in love, healthy, fit and confident but didn’t believe that I could actually be that person.

I always say this, but I’ll say it again…I am not going to lie I still have days where I question life and myself but I turn and face my fears, smile and walk towards them. Because I know that anything we want…we can have. If we are brave and believe.

Whatever you dream of, you can have and achieve. But only if you want it hard enough and are willing to be scared, vulnerable, out of your comfort zone and face your fears. It’s not easy. But anything worth having isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. So worth it!

So, dream away and make it happen. Be brave. Be bold and don’t look back.
